About Us

Trauma -informed. Person-centred.

Our purpose

We exist to empower
young people.

Sams Homes Services didn’t begin in a boardroom — it began on the frontline. Our roots lie in the day-to-day reality of working with some of the most vulnerable young people in our communities: looked-after children, care leavers, and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children navigating systems that often weren’t built with them in mind.

In September 2021, we began providing supported accommodation under Sam’s Property in Norfolk — a service that continues to support care leavers aged 18 and over to this day. In August 2023, Sams Homes Services was formally established to bring that same depth of commitment to Brentford in West London, expanding our reach and impact while staying true to the values that drive us.

We are not a large institution. We are a dedicated, experienced, close-knit team — and that is our greatest strength. It means every young person who comes through our doors receives genuine, individual attention, not a standardised service.

Our purpose is simple, but it demands everything we have. We exist to provide young people with the tools, support, and safe environments they need to transition successfully into independent adulthood.

We believe — without reservation — that every young person has the potential to thrive. Our mission is to help them unlock that potential through tailored support, high-quality accommodation, and a team that shows up, day after day, with compassion, expertise, and genuine belief in their future.

At Sams Homes, our mission revolves around three pillars that shape every aspect of what we do:

Inspire

We foster environments where young people feel valued and safe, equipping them with essential life skills and the confidence to build their own futures.

Inspire

Integrate

We build communities. We connect young people to education, employment, and wider society — helping them find their voice and their place.

Integrate

Evolve

We celebrate growth. We nurture resilience, creativity, and leadership, helping young people not just to survive, but to flourish.

Evolve

We gather insights from every young person's journey — the challenges they face, the breakthroughs they achieve, the patterns in our systems — and use these to continuously improve our practice. We are a learning organisation, and we are proud of it.

Our Ethos

Everything we do is underpinned by a trauma-informed, person-centred approach. We recognise that many of the young people we support carry significant histories of adversity, loss, and disruption. Our role is not to judge those histories — it is to provide a safe, consistent, nurturing environment where healing and growth can happen.

This means listening before advising. It means adapting before insisting. It means meeting young people where they are — not where we think they should be.

Dignity and Respect

Every young person is unique. We treat all individuals with unconditional respect and ensure they feel genuinely heard and valued.

Equality

We actively challenge discrimination in all its forms and ensure every young person receives equitable, inclusive support.

Listening

Young people’s voices shape our service. We involve them in decisions and ensure their perspectives are always heard and respected.

Professionalism

We hold ourselves to the highest standards of professional practice, bringing expertise, accountability, and integrity to everything we do.

Partnership and Collaboration

We work in genuine partnership with young people, families, social work teams, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes.

Achievement

We believe in every young person’s ability to achieve. We work actively to support their hopes and ambitions, however modest or ambitious.

Independence

Preparing young people for independent adult life is the north star of everything we do.

Confidentiality

We treat all personal information with the utmost sensitivity. We are fully ICO registered and GDPR compliant.

Flexibility

We adapt our support to meet changing needs — increasing intensity when needed, stepping back as confidence grows.

Compassion and Understanding

We approach every young person with empathy, recognising their trauma and creating space for them to grow, heal, and thrive.

Our Leadership Team

Sams Homes Services is a small organization with a big heart. At the heart of Sams Homes Services is our Director and Registered Service Manager (RSM), a qualified social worker registered with Social Work England. Bringing over 17 years of experience within local authorities and non-profits, he has extensive expertise supporting Looked After Children, Care Leavers, unaccompanied minors, and refugee families. Holding a Master’s degree in Social Work (Distinction) and a Master of Commerce in Business Management, our RSM seamlessly blends deep empathy with strong operational leadership.

He is supported by a highly experienced team, including an Operations Manager with over a decade of dedicated service in the supported accommodation sector. Our robust recruitment process is deeply rooted in safeguarding, expertise, and core organizational values, ensuring our staff consistently reflect the high standards of our purposeful
community.
